Binocular Construction -- View from the top showing the eyepieces. The upper knob to the left is for interpupillary distance (IPD). A change in focus by either of the two focusers will cause this spacing to change. In that case the IPD knob will have to be adjusted. Note the hinge on the right that allows the upper OTA to pivot, changing the IPD.
